Women who want to hide their heavy hips and thighs are usually careful in selecting clothes.
But dressing up in baggy clothes is a big no-no for these women. They should wear clothes that accentuate their attractive feature and disguise the largeness of the thighs thereby balancing their figure. Distracting the viewer’s eye will help camouflage heavy thighs.
“Avoid wearing trousers as they look heavy and make thighs look even more bulky. Instead you should wear stretch jeans in deeper colours. However, avoid skinny jeans,” says designer Babita Malkani. “Wear pants that have wide-flared bottoms. They shouldn’t be bell-bottoms though,” says Malkani.
“Always choose dresses or skirts in light, soft and flowy fabrics. If you want to wear a fitted dress, go for one which has a drape or flow around it,” says Malkani.
Skirts that resemble a bell suit women with heavy thighs. They must choose skirts that hang loosely at hips and flare at the base. Skirts that taper inwards or form a straight line along the legs should be avoided. An A-line skirt could work instead.
Women should also make sure that the waistband of the pants is not seen. Wearing shirts and jackets that end at least two to three inches below the band of the pants or skirts can also help. This will take the sight away from large thighs. Also, wearing jackets and shirts that are well fit at the waist and flare out towards the hips can make a difference.
