New Delhi: A group of 25 Indian-origin youths from various countries like Australia, Surinam, Fiji, Indonesia and South Africa is on a visit to India. This group of youths yesterday called on Lt Governor, Tejendra Khanna, and shared with him their feelings about India.
The group of 25 is visiting India as part of the ‘Know India Programme’ (KIP). The programme is sponsored by the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs.
The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs had launched ‘Know India Programme’ for Diaspora youth with a basic view to connect them with their roots in India. The Ministry’s programme also aims at making overseas Indian aware about the progress made by the country in various fields.
