Abhishek Bachchan injured during a shoot

Actor Abhishek Bachchan met with an accident during a shooting in Jaipur on Wednesday. The news was confirmed by his father, Amitabh Bachchan.

Sr. Bachchan said that Abhishek had an accident while shooting an action scene for the movie ‘BolBachchan’. The incident took place in Jaipur. Abhishek sustained a cut near his eye and received six stitches on his wound. He also added that Abhishek had returned home and was doing well.

The action scene required Abhishek chasing over hand rickshaws when he missed his step and met with an accident. He might take a few days to recover and get the stitiches removed.

“No matter what, one of the most trying moments in the life of a parent is to see their children suffer pain,” Amitabh Bachchan said.

He had tweeted earlier too and had said, “Abhishek’s had an accident on set in Jaipur, has just flown back .. 6 stitches near eye. Is well. Will take some days to recover.”

Abhishek Bachchan also tweeted saying, “Bachpan me mere pitaji ne mujhe sikhaya tha… ‘mard ko dard nahin hota’ 🙂 !!!”

“Thank you all very much for your concern and messages. I’m fine, nothing serious. Just a small cut above my eye and a few stitches,” the injured actor tweeted.

“Had a fall whilst filming a small action sequence in Jaipur. Have come back to Mumbai now and will resume work at the earliest,” the Abhishek explained.

The actor then thanked all his fans and friends for their wishes.

The actor is busy shooting for director Rohit Shetty’s Bol Bachchan in Jaipur. It was reported that he was dangling from a rickshaw when he slipped, fell and suffered a cut on his forehead. The cut was quite deep and required six stiches. Abhishek took a break from shooting and returned to Mumbai for further treatment.

Meanwhile, Golmaal trilogy director Rohit Shetty, who kickstarted his career with the Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn starrer Zameen, is busy denying that Bol Bachchan is a remake of the Hrishikesh Mukherjee classic, Gol Maal.

Apparently, Abhishek Bachchan is playing the role Amol Palekar did while Ajay Devgn takes over Utpal Dutt’s character of Bhavani Shankar. The film also stars Asin Thotumkkal and Prachi Desai.
