Australian Indian Artists Coming Together in Aid of Bush Fire Appeal and Rehabilitation
Peacock Hall, Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple, Carrum Downs Victoria, Sunday, February 23, 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
The nation is being ravaged by the most devastating bushfire season the country has ever seen. Kalakruthi school is hosting and coordinating a concert in aid of Bushfire Appeal and seeks participation and contribution from all artists and schools of Melbourne.
The founder of Kalakruthi school, Shobha Sekhar says, “I am sure we all share an intense feeling of ‘giving’ something to the victims and firefighting volunteers. We may have even done something in our own capacity. I urge all practitioners of classical Indian music and dance to come together as a community and show our generosity and solidarity.”
Funds collected through this concert will be donated to the Victorian Bushfire appeal. This event is being partnered with the Mental Health Foundation Australia in this endeavour. A nominal ticket fee for every participant and audience member is available via Trybooking.
Many senior musicians, singers and dancers will be seen on stage together with their students as part of this charity show. The school will also welcome other artists to express their interest in performing for this genuine cause.
Let’s pray through music and dance to make Australia green again.
