“40 crore children India’s most valuable asset”

New Delhi: As Children’s Day was celebrated across the country on Monday, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said India’s 40 crore children are the country’s most valuable assets.

“The 40 crore children of our country are our most valuable assets,” the Prime Minister said in a message at a function organised by the Women and Child Development Ministry, where national awards for children were presented.

“In their well-being, lies the future of our country,” he said.

The Prime Minister also extended his ‘love, affection and blessings’ to the children and expressed his ‘best wishes’ for those working for children.
