A protester in the Australian city of Brisbane this morning caused major traffic commotion on the city’s Story Bridge during peak hour.
According to the police, the man, 31-year-old, climbed up the Story Bridge at about 4 AM (AEST) to protest about a personal matter.
The six-lane bridge, which is an important route for motorists heading towards the CBD, was forced down to two inbound lanes and one outbound lane.
The protester ended his protest peacefully at about 7 AM (AEST).
The man hailed from Ormeau, south of Brisbane. He has been charged for unregulated high risk activity.
He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court later today.
